Emma's Fight For Life

Josh and Dana Goldschnikl were highly anticipating the birth of their baby on November 16th 2012. However, on July 30th, Emma Mae Goldschnikl was born four months pre-mature. Emma was born a tiny 1 lb. 8 oz. at SilverCross Hospital, then she was quickly transported to Robert Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago.

Her many struggles which she has fought and still fighting include:

Long term intubation, a hole in her heart, brain bleed, multiple blood infections, blood transfusions, and issues with her retinas. But, Emma is a fighter and her weight is slowly climbing.

Josh, a firefighter in Palos Park IL, and Dana, a middle school Special Education Teacher, have spent every possible hour at the hospital with Emma for the first 5 months of her life. They continue to go for follow up visits, and overnight stays which requires 24 hour care for Emma. The Goldschnikl's live in Manhattan IL, which is over an hour commute from the primary hospital where Emma must be seen by her physicians.

Total current medical costs are over 1.5 million dollars and climbing.

Emma's friends and family are hosting a benefit on June 23rd 2013. Please show your support and join us for raffles, bowling, and family fun!
